Santa Giulia Museum

Housed inside a huge monastery complex with Lombard origins and including San Salvatore, the museum is one of Italy’s most important exhibition spaces, containing some important collections and covering a total surface area of 14,000 square meters. In addition to its permanent collections of Celtic remains, helmets and phalerae, Roman portraits and bronzes (including the wonderful Vittoria Alata, the symbol of the city of Brescia), artifacts from the Lombard period (the Cross of King Desiderio), funerary objects, mosaics (Domus Ortaglia) and frescos, the museum also plays host to important temporary exhibitions during the year.
